Barrera will take on young Brit in Manchester
Amir Khan's contest with ring legend Marco Antonio Barrera will take place at the Manchester Evening News Arena.
The 22-year-old, from nearby Bolton, is relishing the atmosphere that will be generated inside the 20,000-seat venue.
"I'm so happy that the fight is at the MEN Arena and it's going to be an absolutely wicked atmosphere on the night that will really get my juices flowing," he told

"There have been so many great nights there and I was ringside for Calzaghe v Lacy and Hatton v Tszyu and I believe that my fight against Barrera ranks up alongside those, I just can't wait."
Ghosts
Khan will be stepping into the same building in which he suffered a devastating knockout loss to Breidis Prescott, but insists that will have a positive effect on his pre-fight mentality.
He added: "It's also the perfect opportunity to rid the ghosts of my loss to Breidis Prescott last year and a victory would send my career to another level.
"This is a fight for the fans and a chance for them to see Barrera, who is a living boxing legend, in a British ring against a young fighter who aims to achieve what he has."
Mexican icon Barrera has fought over seventy times in his career, winning world titles at three different weights.
The bout will take place on March 14.
