Press conference highlights

As he prepares for his first ever professional boxing bout, McGregor has vowed to tarnish Mayweather's legacy with a swift stoppage, but the five-weight world champion reminded the Irishman about the 49 other opponents who had fallen short.

"I'm taking it extremely serious," Mayweather told the watching media. "I know one thing that I can do - I can fight! I can give it, and I can take it.

One thing about me, I've got a granite chin. Remember this, the same way you give it, you have to take it.

"To be 49-0 I'm not receiving it, I'm giving it.

"He's a hell of a fighter, a stand-up guy, a tough competitor. It's going to be blood, sweat and tears."

Both fighters have agreed to wear eight ounce gloves and Mayweather suggested that McGregor will also be forced to feel his punch power.
