Matthew Hatton believes he will come away with the WBC light-middleweight title when he takes on Saul Alvarez on Saturday night.
Hatton will enter the ring a huge underdog against the young Mexican, whose only blemish in a 35-fight career is an early four-round draw.
But the Mancunian was happy to take on Alvarez even before the WBC decided to put their championship on the line, after champion Manny Pacquiao opted to defend another belt.
"Opportunities mean nothing if you don't take them," said Hatton. "I've prepared well, trained harder than ever and I'm well capable of winning.
"I'm going to beat him. I have no doubt in my mind. It's going to be a great fight and 100 percent I am going to be the winner.
"He's never been stopped and we're both tough fighters who take a good shot.
"I've prepared for a long, hard night. I think it's going to be an exciting fight, it's going to be great to watch and I think it's going to be very hard for both of us.
"There will be tough moments for both fighters, but I just think my extra maturity, conditioning, strength and experience will tip things in my favour."
Brother and promoter Ricky says Matthew should have no problem adapting to the higher weight class after operated for much of his career at 147lb.
"Matthew is a fighter on a good roll," Ricky said. "This is his first fight in the super welterweight division but seeing how he's prepared, he is ready.
"He is the underdog but he's made from the same fibre that I am. We're not here for the payday. We're here for the belt."
