Price amongst heavyweights on undercard for show on June 25

John McDermott will get the chance to exact revenge on Tyson Fury in his rematch with the reigning English heavyweight champion on June 25. The first fight saw Mancunian Fury handed a controversial points win over his compatriot, referee Terry O'Connor amazingly scoring the bout 98-92. McDermott was left stunned by the decision and will now get the chance to make amends when the two fighters go toe-to-toe again next month. Promoter Frank Maloney admits he feared 'Big Bad John' would turn his back on boxing altogether if he was not given another shot at beating Fury.

Begging

"It is only right that I get the opportunity to stage the return after the previous injustice on my show caused John so much hurt," Maloney said. "John has been begging for this fight ever since that decision went against him and I am delighted that he has got the chance. "If this fight hadn't come off I seriously believe that he may have walked away from boxing for good." The 12-round contest at Brentwood Centre will also serve as a final eliminator for the British heavyweight title. Fury has so far yet to taste defeat in his 10 fights as a professional and has won twice since his contentious success over McDermott (25-6) last year. Olympic bronze medallist David Price will be on the undercard, along with fellow heavyweights Tom Dallas, Larry Olubamiwo and Dave Ferguson.
