IBF super-featherweight world champion Jose Pedraza will face Gervonta Davis on the undercard to James DeGale's unification bout with Badou Jack.
The 27-year-old Peurto Rican has not fought since defeating Liverpool' Stephen Smith back in April via a unanimous points decision.
Now, Pedraza (22-0-KO12) makes his third defence of the IBF strap he won by defeating Andrey Klimov in June 2015 and faces undefeated rising prospect Davis (16-0-KO15), who is promoted by Floyd Mayweather.
The fight will take place on January 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and will serve as the co-feature to the blockbuster super-middleweight showdown between DeGale and Jack.
To make the fight. Pedraza was granted an exception from the IBF allowing him to fight Davis rather than his mandatory challenger, Norfolk's Liam Walsh - who himself recently beat Klimov to earn his shot.
"I think it's a hell of a fight, very dangerous, but it's a fight that Pedraza wanted," promoter Lou DiBella told ESPN.
"Davis has been screaming and yelling that he wanted a big fight, and he has now got what he wanted."
