Liam Smith is adamant he can defy the odds and deny Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez the WBO world super-welterweight title.
Liverpool's 'Beefy' (23-0-1-KO13) travelled to the home of the Dallas Cowboys - where the fight will take place on September 17 - to meet the popular Mexican, who is returning to 154lbs after winning the WBC world middleweight crown.
Alvarez was most recently in action against another Briton in Amir Khan, who he sent crashing to the canvas in the sixth round of their clash back in May.
Bookmakers and experts are forecasting a difficult night for Smith, despite a run of eight straight stoppage victories that saw him pick up the vacant title by beating John Thompson. He has since dispatched challengers Jimmy Kelly and Predrag Radosevic.
In Alvarez, he faces a significant step up in class - but having arrived in Texas for media duties and to take a look around the daunting AT&T Stadium, Smith appeared unfazed.
