Chris Eubank Jr had to weigh in twice after missing the middleweight limit - and was kissed by Saturday night's opponent Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan.
Eubank Jr (20-1-KO15) and O'Sullivan (22-1-KO15) will finally settle a lengthy dispute at The O2 - live on Sky Sports Box Office - and there was no shortage of drama as they met for the final time before fight night at Friday's weigh-in.
Thursday's final press conference was full of insults and threats but O'Sullivan stole the headlines the day before the bout as he ended their first ever face-off by planting a kiss on the lips of Eubank Jr, who had to return to the scales later having initially weighed a quarter-of-an-ounce too much.
Eubank Jr, who had previously refused to go head-to-head with O'Sullivan, said afterwards: "He's trying to ruffle my feathers. He knows I have a strong mental advantage over him and he's trying to bring me down to his level but I'm cool, calm and collected.
"It's a very serious fight. It's a final eliminator for a world title bout and we're going to put our lives on the line. I'm in the zone. This is the biggest fight of my life and I've trained like a dog for many months. It's punishment time."
On the weight issues, Eubank Jr added: "I was a tiny bit over. I was wearing gloves. I'm going to punish the guy. I'm going to punish him for what he's said over the past few years."
Eubank Jr's father, the legendary Chris 'English' Eubank, had entertained the gathered masses before the weigh-in as he pulled out some slick dance moves despite being dressed in a long tweed jacket.
He said afterwards: "He's on point. He's strong, happy and has a jab. So much is going to come from that and it's going to be a beautiful performance tomorrow. I hope he enjoys every moment of it."
