Kevin Mitchell retirement prompts tribute from Jamie Moore

Kevin Mitchell, Anthony Joshua and misbehaviour outside the ring... It must be time for Mr Moore to run the rule over this week's boxing news.
How much will boxing miss Kevin Mitchell?
He was a real fan favourite as a fighter. He was always in decent fights. Win or lose, it was usually a great occasion anyway. He'll be missed for that. He's a real character on the scene. He's very charismatic and people like Kevin always sell tickets. He was a warrior at the end of the day.
When the going got tough and he had to dig deep, he did. I know he had losses against the likes of Michael Katsidis but that was down to preparation and him not putting in the work that he should have. When he did it right, he was a difficult man to beat.
Is it too early for Anthony Joshua to challenge Charles Martin?
No, I don't think it is. I think Martin is one of the weaker heavyweight champions of recent times and as I said at the time, I think he was lucky to be world champion through an injury to Vyacheslav Glazkov. I think it's a great move for Joshua because I think Joshua beats him every day of the week.
If it can be made and Joshua becomes champion, it opens the door to some absolutely huge clashes against the likes of David Haye, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Haye is a good direction to go in - it would be a Wembley fight. Haye is a formidable fighter and dangerous but he's not as awkward as someone like Fury. Financially, it would be massive and could happen next summer.

Is Jazza Dickens out of his depth against Guillermo Rigondeaux?
He could be. I hope he can pull it off but it's a mammoth task. Rigondeaux is such a good defensive fighter. He's not the best to watch if you're not a hardcore boxing fan but for a purist, he's wonderful to watch. He's so difficult to hit and Jazza is going to have a tough night's work of it.
It's not impossible, though. Rigondeaux is getting on and at some stage, his reflexes and timing are going to start to slow. Hopefully for Jazza that ageing process can come early and benefit him. Rigondeaux is slowing a touch as we saw in his last fight but in general, isn't looking vulnerable. I wish Jazza all the best and I really hope he can prove all the doubters wrong.
Should Bernard Hopkins take a final bout against Gennady Golovkin?
You'd be talking about having this fight at super-middleweight because Hopkins has been campaigning at light-heavyweight and Golovkin would have to step up from middleweight. Hopkins would have to drop weight at the age of 51 and his reflexes aren't what they were.
Looking at it from Golovkin's point of view, you'd be going into that fight to make a statement by doing a better job than Sergey Kovalev did. This isn't a fight I'd like to see because I think Golovkin might punch as hard as Kovalev but with that little bit of extra speed behind it, too. I wouldn't like to see Hopkins go in with Golovkin at this stage of his career and I don't think it should be allowed really.
Mitchell lived the party lifestyle at various stages of his career. Any of that behaviour from you when you were a professional boxer?
I was never really much of a party animal when I was fighting. My biggest vice was food. I loved eating chocolate and was a bit of a fatty!
As for the some of the stuff I got up to in between fights and before I turned professional.... I don't really think they're suitable for the Sky Sports website. On the plus side, my book's coming out soon so people can read all about my misbehaviour then!
