Amir Khan says he would love trash-talking Adrien Broner to be his next opponent.

Broner has bounced back from losing his WBA welterweight title with three successive victories, the most recent a unanimous decision over John Molina Jr at the weekend.

The American posted a social media taunt on Tuesday claiming he would willingly "make a fool" out of Khan as early as the end of March, and the bait worked.

Writing on his Twitter page Khan said: "Would love to fight Adrien Broner next! #KhanvsBroner - let's make it happen."

Broner had earlier posted an Instagram message reading: "No disrespect to (Khan's trainer) Virgil Hunter - he is a great coach and I got endless love for him, but me and Amir Khan can fight at the end of this month.

"I haven't taken any punishment, I'm back in the gym and ready to make a fool out of anybody."
