Joshua vs Parker: Highlights of Anthony Joshua's win over Joseph Parker
Full duration repeat showing at 4pm on Sunday, April 1 via Sky Sports Box Office
Sunday 1 April 2018 13:23, UK
Anthony Joshua was taken the distance for the first time in his career but put in a composed performance to earn a points victory over Joseph Parker in the unification clash in Cardiff.
The British heavyweight star has added the WBO belt to his IBF and WBA 'super' titles as he produced a disciplined display against the rugged Parker to earn a wide unanimous decision with scores of 118-110, 118-110 and 119-109.
Parker, who has never been knocked down, was escorted to the ring by Samoan chiefs while home favourite Joshua lit up the Principality Stadium with pyrotechnics.
Joshua looked typically confident and carried that energy into the ring, often keeping his opponent on the back foot with an accurate ramrod jab and the Kiwi was muscled to the ropes by a crunching combination in the third.
Parker did have some success with his raiding tactics and ripped a right hand through Joshua's guard in the fifth, before charging out again in the sixth and chasing AJ to the ropes.

Both men traded hooks in the 11th as Parker's renowned chin held firm and Joshua resisted the urge to pursue a last-round knockout, controlling the last three minutes with his spearing jab to seal victory.
