LeBron James poured in 37 points - including the go-ahead jumper with 10.5 seconds left - and contributed 12 assists to prolong Miami's amazing run despite a career-high 43-point haul from Jeff Green.

The triumph ensured the Heat surpassed the 22 consecutive wins achieved by Houston in 2007-08, and is now the second longest streak in NBA history.

The Denver Nuggets also continued their winning run, narrowly clinching a 12th straight success thanks to a 119-118 overtime victory against the Chicago Bulls.

Wilson Chandler paced Denver with 35 points, but it was Andre Iguodala's three-pointer with 7.1 seconds left in overtime which secured the win.

A late surge from Luis Scola, who scored all 14 of his points in the final quarter, led the Phoenix Suns to a comprehensive 99-76 win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Steve Nash contributed a game-high 19 points against his former team but it was not enough for the Lakers, who were again without Kobe Bryant due to an ankle injury.
