The Englishman has been a prolific putter during his career and was dubbed Europe's postman for consistency delivering Ryder Cup points, with the flat stick a key component in his success.

Poulter is back on the fringes of the world's top 50 after a resurgence in form during 2017, with the 2015 British Masters host returning home this week to play in front of large crowds at Close House.

Ahead of this week's event in the north east, Poulter headed to the practice putting green to reveal some of his practice routines and explain what he does to achieve success on the putting surfaces.

The 12-time European Tour winner also offered guidance to improve your putting and answered the best of the questions sent in from the audience.
