Hull will be looking to build on her first victory in over two years at the Aramco Team Series event in Riyadh earlier this month, and recorded seven birdies with one bogey as she looks to follow success in Saudi Arabia with another win straight away.
Jiwon Jeon shares the clubhouse lead with Hull, as the South Korean targets her first career victory and just a second top-10 finish.
Another South Korean, Mi Hyang Lee went round in 65 and sits a shot behind the leaders, alongside Scot Gemma Dryburgh who is looking to add to her sole win on the LPGA Tour just over two years ago at the Toto Japan Classic.
World No 1 Nelly Korda is making her first appearance in two months at the event, after suffering a neck injury, and finds herself in a cluster of players currently two shots adrift, which includes two-time major winner Minjee Lee and European Solheim Cup veteran Carlota Ciganda.
