Coventry revel in home comforts

Coventry continued their winning return to the Ricoh Arena with a 2-1 victory over Yeovil on Saturday afternoon.

The Sky Blues played their first game back in the city last Friday and followed-up their win over Gillingham with another three points. They took the lead in the seventh minute when Reda Johnson powered home a header from Jim O'Brien's perfectly-placed corner. Midfielder O'Brien was within inches of doubling the home team's lead three minutes later when he let fly from distance but his shot struck the crossbar. Yeovil grew into the game and hit the woodwork themselves when AJ Leitch-Smith tried his luck from just inside the area and James Hayter's acrobatic follow-up was off target. The visitors drew level in the 51st minute when Jack Price played a neat pass through Coventry's back-line and Sam Foley coolly slotted in the equaliser from 10 yards. But Coventry restored their lead in the 68th minute when Frank Nouble turned inside the area and saw his shot parried by Chris Weale. Simeon Jackson was on hand to finish from close range.
