Marko Marin has refuted suggestions that he is set for an imminent departure from Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the Bundesliga's hottest prospects, having burst onto the scene in April 2007.
His rise to prominence has attracted interest from a host of clubs, both domestically and abroad.
Monchengladbach are keen to extend his current contract with the club, which is set to run until 2010, but have so far failed in their efforts.
Marin, though, insists his reluctance to pen a new deal does not mean he is hankering for a switch elsewhere.
"I do not think I need to move on," the Germany international told Braunschweiger Zeitung.
"Playing in a side battling against the drop is a good experience for a young player looking to learn about pressure.
Dream
"It is no secret that I will join another club at some point in the future, because it is the dream of every footballer to play in the UEFA Champions League and compete for titles.
"This is not possible at Borussia Monchengladbach and it would be foolish of me to think that I have achieved everything I can in my career.
"Hopefully I will have plenty of opportunities to move on in the future, but for now I am focused on keeping Borussia in the top flight."
Marin has also rubbished reports claiming he has suffered a falling out with manager Hans Meyer.
"All of this is completely untrue," he said.
"Of course no player is happy when he is being substituted, but that does not mean I am unhappy working under Hans Meyer."
