Adam Le Fondre's second-half strike gave promotion-chasing Rochdale a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Gillingham.
Rochdale threatened early on through an eighth-minute Tom Kennedy corner, which was hacked off the line by Gillingham's Simon King.
However nine minutes later the home side were in front when a searching pass from Curtis Weston picked out Albert Jarrett and his cross was blasted home from close range by Simeon Jackson.
Canada international Jackson should have doubled the lead but was denied by keeper Sam Russell after being put through by Adam Miller's knock down.
The visitors were almost level on the stroke of half-time but Clark Keltie's shot from point-blank range was blocked by Gills keeper Simon Royce.
In the 60th minute a swift Rochdale counter attack was finished in style by as Le Fondre cut inside Leigh Mills and curled the ball in to the top right-hand corner from 15 yards for his fifth goal in three games.
