Troubled Inter striker denies struggles with the bottle
Internazionale striker Adriano has denied having a drinking problem as talk of his personal problems escalates in Brazil.
The troubled striker is back in his homeland to undergo psychological and physical training with Sao Paulo, where he will stay until the end of the year.
Adriano accepts that he is going through a difficult time at present but categorically denies turning to drink.
"It's not like people are saying," lamented Adriano.
"They say that I'm resorting to alcohol to overcome my problems, but it's not like that.
"Everybody goes through a difficult moment. I hope to overcome this situation and play soccer again, which is what I love the most."
Back at Inter, club president Massimo Moratti has rubbished reports that Adriano could stay in Brazil on a permanent basis.
Inter backing
"I exclude all market operations involving Adriano in January," he said.
"Now he needs to recover. He asked me for this opportunity and now I've made him content.
"I hope in Brazil he won't fall to temptations."
