Crawley 3-0 Crewe: Town cruise to victory

Crawley clinched their first win in eight matches with a 3-0 home victory over Crewe in League Two.

Josh Payne's first-half penalty was added to by late goals from Joe McNerney and Dannie Bulman to secure the Reds a first win in any competition in over a month.

The scoreline was harsh on the visitors, who created numerous chances but found Crawley goalkeeper Glenn Morris in inspired form.

Morris kept out a goalbound shot from Shaun Miller before the hosts took the lead with a 14th-minute penalty.

Midfielder Payne calmly stroked home the spot kick after keeper Ben Garratt brought down Dominic Poleon.

Morris pulled off a string of superb saves as Crewe dominated for the rest of the half.

He kept out a shot from Jordan Bowery before denying Ryan Wintle in a one-on-one situation.
