Exeter City failed to move into League Two’s top three as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Crawley Town at St James’ Park.

Crawley went in front on 29 minutes when Enzio Boldewijn latched onto a smart ball from Lewis Young and rolled it past Christy Pym in the 30th minute.
Exeter were struggling, but it was their leading goalscorer Jayden Stockley who brought them level in the 42nd minute when he took down a high ball inside the box, created a shooting chance and despite Glenn Morris getting a hand to the ball, Stockley's shot just crept over the line.
The Grecians went in front on the hour mark when a Lloyd James corner found Stockley in the box and he rammed the ball past Morris from six yards and Jake Taylor almost made it three but fired straight at Morris.
Crawley levelled it up in the 69th minute when Josh Yorwerth got above Jordan Storey to head in a Jordan Roberts corner, but Exeter almost went back in front through Kyle Edwards, who was denied by a brilliant Morris save.
Stockley came close to a hat-trick in the 79th minute, but his shot crashed down off the underside of the crossbar and he was denied again by a brilliant stop by Morris in the 89th minute as Exeter failed to get the goal they needed to claim the win and go third in the table.
