By Chris Reidy

Robin van Persie will play his final match as a professional when Feyenoord take on Den Haag in the Eredivisie.

Feyenoord boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed on Friday that Sunday's match would be Van Persie's last as a footballer in a career that saw him spend 11 seasons in the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Van Persie is eighth on Arsenal's list of all-time record goalscorers and won the Premier League in his first season with Manchester United in 2012/13.

He will finish his career as the Netherlands' highest goalscorer with 50 goals in 102 caps and with the club with whom he made his debut in 2001.
