FC Twente moved out of the bottom three in the Eredivisie with a 2-1 derby win against Heracles on Friday.

The home side took the lead from their first attack in the second minute, with Fredrik Jensen sliding in to score after Tom Boere's shot had been cleared off the line by a defender.

Jensen was denied a second by goalkeeper Bram Castro shortly afterwards, while former Newcastle and Rotherham forward Haris Vuckic's goal-bound effort was hacked away by Lerin Duarte before the break.

Heracles equalised early in the second half when striker Paul Gladon, on loan from Wolves, headed home Brahima Darriego's cross, but Twente edged ahead once again from Danny Holla's superb free-kick after 76 minutes.
