Scally is Stanley's burger king

Gillingham chairman Paul Scally bought all Accrington supporters burger and chips during their game on Saturday.

Although the 28 away fans saw their team beaten 1-0, they did not leave Priestfield empty-handed after the Gillingham owner's act of generosity. Scally was watching the game in Dubai but contacted the club to ensure the Stanley fans were rewarded for braving the freezing temperatures. He told Kent Messenger: "I felt it was such a good effort of them coming down that we should try and do something for them. "I called my safety officer, in the crowd control room, and told him to go and get burger and chips and a cup of tea for all the 28 fans just before the end of the game. "It was a magnificent effort by the 28. I would have liked to have done more for them but at least we could send them home with something to warm them up."
