A brilliant double from Rory Gaffney earned Bristol Rovers a 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient at the Memorial Stadium.
The hosts went in front after half an hour in the Sky Bet League 2 encounter when Gaffney controlled a diagonal ball on his chest and weaved his way into the box before taking his time and netting with a shot from eight yards.
But Orient levelled as the first half entered stoppage time, Blair Turgott providing a low cross for Jay Simpson to elude his markers and shoot home from the edge of the six-yard box.
The winner came in the 53rd minute when Gaffney raced onto a long ball and sent a sweet left-footed volley past Alex Cisak from the corner of the penalty area.
Rovers edged the first half and Tom Lockyer might have done better when heading over from a 42nd-minute free-kick.
Orient goalkeeper Cisak made an early save from Jermaine Easter, while Gaffney was foiled by a last-ditch challenge from Cole Kpekawa.
The second half was equally competitive, with Gaffney being denied a hat-trick by a fine Cisak save.
