Clark puts eight on list and lets five leave
Huddersfield Town have put eight players on the transfer list and have also decided not to offer new contracts to five more members of the squad.
Following the Terriers' failure to win promotion from League One this season, manager Lee Clark is starting to overhaul his squad and has already signed Scott Arfield from Falkirk.
Clark is now looking to offload a host of players, with Dean Heffernan among those who have not been offered a new deal.
The Australian defender, who joined the League One club in January, has made 15 appearances for the Terriers, but will return to his homeland to play for Melbourne Heart next season.
Fellow defender Robbie Williams will also move on after playing 89 times for the West Yorkshire outfit, while striker Phil Jevons, who netted 19 goals in 43 appearances while on loan at Morecambe this season, also departs.
Academy graduate Lewis Nightingale leaves the Galpharm Stadium after failing to make an appearance for the senior side during his first year as a professional and Taser Hassan will also be looking for a new club.
Clark has also made Simon Eastwood, Joe Skarz, Andy Butler, Jim Goodwin, Michael Collins, James Berrett, Lionel Ainsworth and Tom Denton available for transfer, while Robbie Simpson is available for a loan move.
Meanwhile, the club have also confirmed that discussions are ongoing over a move for Birmingham defender Krystian Pearce, who is out of contract this summer.
