Swindon enjoyed a thumping 4-1 win at rock-bottom Colchester, whose relegation fears deepened.
Colchester goalkeeper Elliot Parish denied James Brophy early on, while Robins stopper Lawrence Vigouroux clawed away Chris Porter's downward header and also parried George Moncur's fierce shot.
Swindon went ahead 10 minutes before half-time through Nicky Ajose, who prodded past Parish after Nathan Thompson's lofted pass had picked him out in the area.
Vigouroux denied Porter while Parish foiled Jon Obika, as Swindon went in at half-time ahead.
The Robins doubled their lead in the 57th minute when Ajose side-footed in from Jordan Turnbull's pass to score his second of the game.
And two minutes later, Michael Doughty's spectacular strike from the edge of the area flew in after Obika had picked him out.
Joe Edwards gave Colchester brief hope six minutes later when he netted with a fine half-volley.
But Doughty bagged his second with 17 minutes remaining when he turned in the box and planted a shot home to seal Swindon's big win.
