Tottenham assistant Joe Jordan does not think a fixture list on transfer deadline day will prove an obstacle to any deals.

Redknapp's right-hand man does not think fixtures will prevent deals

Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan does not think a Premier League fixture list on transfer deadline day will prove an obstacle to any last-minute deals. Title-chasing Spurs on Tuesday host Wigan as one of five top-flight matches ahead of the 11pm closure of the winter window. Tottenham boss Redknapp is famed for his love of a late deal, but his presence in court, where he is denying two counts of cheating the public revenue, and the fixture congestion, could mean the club's deadline day dealings will be minimal. But Jordan on Monday insisted there is still a possibility some business could be done, with Spurs continually linked with Marseille's Loic Remy and Blackburn pair Christopher Samba and Junior Hoilett. Redknapp's right-hand man said: "In the past, Tottenham have come in with a late purchase and there's always a possibility in football.

Concentrate

"At this moment there is nothing imminent. All of the players are here." Jordan also said: "There are people within the club that know what the thoughts of the manager are and they go on and do it. "You concentrate on what job you are supposed to do. So, no, I don't think that (fixture congestion) has got anything to do with it. "People coming into the transfer window know what they would like." Redknapp will be at Southwark Crown until around 5pm and then plans to dash across London to White Hart Lane to take charge of Spurs for the game against bottom club Wigan.
