Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is considering a loan move in England and to other clubs in Europe, according to Sky sources.

Wilshere has been limited to two Premier League appearances off the bench so far this season after his pre-season campaign was slowed by a knee injury.

How to follow Deadline Day

Arsenal have two days to find a suitor for Wilshere with the transfer deadline looming - the summer window closes at 11pm on Wednesday.

SSN HQ understands no formal bid has been made for the England midfielder, but Sky sources say West Ham will not try to sign him as midfield is not a position they are looking to strengthen.

The 24-year-old was left out of Sam Allardyce's first England squad, named on Sunday, and he revealed Wilshere would have to be playing regular football to get back into contention for an international recall, although he expected that to be with his current club.

"Jack just hasn't had enough game time. Hopefully he will get that in the future at Arsenal," said Allardyce.

"If Jack Wilshere was playing every week for Arsenal he would be in the squad, but unfortunately he isn't. It is game time for him and it has been few and far between because he has had too many injuries unfortunately.

"It is a question of game time and the contribution he is making to Arsenal and he is not doing that at the moment, so I left him out."

Wilshere missed the majority of the 2015-16 season with a broken leg and competition for places in the Arsenal midfield has only been increased by Arsene Wenger's transfer business over the last nine months.

Wenger signed Egypt international Mohamed Elneny from Basel in the January transfer window and spent £34m to bring Switzerland star Granit Xhaka to the club earlier in the summer.
