Ben Woodburn became the youngest goalscorer in Liverpool's history when he found the net against Leeds United in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
At 17 years and 45 days, the Wales U19 international broke Michael Owen's record by 98 days.
He scored Liverpool's second in a 2-0 win over Garry Monk's side at Anfield, helping to send the Reds into the League Cup semi-finals for the third time in as many years.
After the match, his manager Jurgen Klopp said: "We [Liverpool] are 125 years old and I'm quite surprised there wasn't a younger one!
"The boys are really happy for him, everybody is smiling in the dressing room, so it's a good moment for him and a good moment for us."
