Catania defender Gino Peruzzi has played down reports linking him with a move to the Premier League with Arsenal.
The Gunners, who have already brought in Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle to replace Bacary Sagna following his move to Manchester City, were said to be interested in the right-back.
But Peruzzi has moved to quell the speculation that a switch to Emirates Stadium could be on the cards and has insisted he is focusing on the future with Catania.
The Sicilian outfit were relegated from Serie A after finishing 18th last season and the former Velez Sarsfield man is keen to help them return to the top flight.
Speaking at a press conference, the Argentine said: “I heard about the interest of Arsenal, but the club has not told me anything.
“I am calm and I think I will stay here. I am just thinking of Catania and I really want to bring the team back into Serie A.”
