Liverpool top the Premier League, finished first in the Champions League table and are deep into the domestic cups - but will there be silverware to show for it?

Injury factor
A glimpse at Liverpool's average positions in their February 10 win over Burnley last season highlights the contrast. Of those who started that match, only Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson and Luis Díaz remain among the most frequent starters this season.
Meanwhile, Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah - three pillars of the squad - were sidelined for crucial stretches. Alexander-Arnold, subbed off at half-time in that Burnley game, missed the next seven league matches - the same period Alisson was out. Salah missed eight consecutive league starts between mid-January and mid-March. That collapse was no coincidence.
This season, Liverpool have had the second-fewest injury absences of more than one game in the Premier League, according to Premier Injuries. But with key fixtures looming, one major setback could change everything.
A tough run-in?
Much has been made of Liverpool's supposedly more difficult run-in than Arsenal's - but how much does history tell us?
Looking at last season's corresponding fixtures, Liverpool dropped 16 points in their upcoming games, while Arsenal lost just seven (assuming wins against newly-promoted sides). If those patterns repeat, Arsenal would finish level on points with Liverpool.
For those questioning the validity of this method, consider this: Liverpool currently sit on 56 points, almost identical to the 55 points they had from these same fixtures last season.
With away trips to Manchester City and Everton later this month - two fixtures where they dropped points last season -Liverpool's title fate may well be decided in the coming weeks.
