Egyptian star pledges his future to Liverpool and insists "this is just the beginning"

Mo Salah pledged "this is just the beginning" as he cleaned up on a whirlwind awards night that included jetting 178 miles from Liverpool to London.

The stellar Egyptian, who could yet add the Premier League Golden Boot and European Golden Shoe to his cabinet, won fans' player and players' player of the year at the Liverpool awards do on Merseyside.

After being snapped with his new gongs, Salah was whisked into a private club jet and flown to the capital to pick up his Football Writers' player of the year award, which was announced on Sky Sports News last week.

Here’s a look at the superb season enjoyed by Liverpool’s mercurial Mohamed Salah, after the Egyptian was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

Salah, who has scored 43 goals in an outstanding debut season for Liverpool, added the three awards to the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award he picked up last month.

After collecting his trophies, Salah reassured Liverpool fans that his future is at Anfield, after reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

"I'm very happy here, everything is fine," he said. "Of course I have got ambitions for the future with Liverpool.

"As you can see we had a great season, now we are in the Champions League final and everyone is excited. This is my first year here and it is the same for some other players. It is just the beginning."

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma last summer and has helped them to the Champions League final and a probable place in the top four of the Premier League.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was named as Liverpool's Young Player of the Year after impressing during his breakout season, during which he has made 31 first-team appearances.
