Sri Lanka have provisionally picked experienced fast bowler Lasith Malinga - "subject to fitness" - for their World Cup squad.
Malinga was unavailable for Sri Lanka's 5-2 one-day international series victory over England last month as he continued his recovery from ankle surgery and also missed the one-day international series against India.
But he has been named alongside fit-again seamer Nuwan Kulasekara in the 15-man squad for the tournament in Australia and New Zealand, which gets under way next month.
The 31-year-old is expected to return to action in the later stages of the seven-match ODI series against New Zealand, which starts in Christchurch on Sunday.
Fast bowler Shaminda Eranga has been left out of the squad, but veteran duo Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene have been included, along with ex-captain Dinesh Chandimal and off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake, who was recently cleared to bowl after remedial work on his action.
Sri Lanka will open the World Cup with a game against New Zealand in Christchurch on February 14.
They will also take on Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, Australia and Scotland in Pool A.
