Kell Brook and Gennady Golovkin weigh in 30 days before their world middleweight title fight

Kell Brook is moving up two weights and goes in against Gennady Golovkin as the underdog, but Glenn McCrory gives the Sheffield star a chance of upsetting the odds...

We know Gennady Golovkin will be the toughest fighter Kell Brook has faced, but I actually think he's got a chance. A real chance.

Golovkin is brilliant, don't get me wrong, but he certainly isn't unbeatable.

The size is not a massive issue. We are not talking about a situation similar to when Sugar Ray Leonard went up to middleweight to fight Marvin Hagler. We are not talking about a complete monster in Golovkin.

He's quite small for a middleweight and yes, he is powerful and he can hit hard, but I can't wait to see him take one on his chin. We know he can punch, but have we seen him hit and hit hard? We know Kell is precise and powerful when he's at his best.

We will also see a different Kell Brook because this is his career-defining fight. He simply hasn't had that yet.

The old adage of fight when he wants to box and box when he wants to fight is the way to do it - and we know Kell can box and we know he can fight.

Yes, winning the world title from Shawn Porter in America was a big, big performance, but we have been waiting for Brook to kick on. This could be the time we see it.

People pay too much attention to that Carson Jones fight and think that might define Brook but let me tell you, he was about 50 per cent up for that fight. We haven't seen Kell 100 per cent up for a fight, but we will against Golovkin.

Weight of no expectations?

Kell knows his career and his legacy are on the line so we will finally see the real Kell Brook - which we haven't seen yet. One thing that won't be a problem is bravery, I am sure.

Of course, we haven't really seen Golovkin in a major fight yet either. No disrespect to Martin Murray and the rest, Golovkin has been protected or simply unable to get those top, top fights. Murray did really well but the one thing that stood out was he couldn't miss 'GGG' with his right hand.

Sometimes we wonder if people are going to be unbeatable or we've never seen anything like it but if we were thinking that about Golovkin, as soon as Murray started landing that right, we were thinking 'hang on, this guy can be beaten'.

If I was a fighting against a special talent like Golovkin I would be confident I could beat him - and I am sure Kell and Dominic Ingle are, too. The old adage of 'fight when he wants to box and box when he wants to fight' is the way to do it and we know Kell can box and we know he can fight.

There's just under three weeks to go until Kell Brook challenges middleweight world Champion Gennady Golovkin at London’s O2

We will need to see the very, very best Kell Brook ever, but we still don't know how good he can be. If he wins this - and he has got a chance - then, boom, he goes straight up the pound-for-pound lists.

When you've got the best promoters and the best promoters looking at you, you've got to come out of the comfort zone and take on tough fight.

We will find out what Kell is made of an exactly where he's at.
