Tyson Fury weighed in more than a stone heavier than European heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora ahead of their WBO heavyweight title final eliminator on Saturday.

A shot at champion Wladimir Klitschko beckons for the winner, with Chisora’s European belt and the vacant British title also on the line when the pair square off at London’s O2.

Fury boasts a perfect record from 22 fights heading into the contest and beat the Finchley man on points when the pair first met in July 2011.

Wilmslow fighter Fury scaled 18st 8lbs at Friday’s weigh-in at the Empire Cinema in London’s Leicester Square, while Chisora came in at 17st 3.5lbs.

Speaking after the weigh-in, Tyson’s trainer Peter Fury told Sky Sports News HQ: “All the work’s been done and we’re confident it will be a good fight. We’ve trained for a hard fight and Tyson’s ready.

“There are high stakes on the line but these are the kind of fights we have been after for a long time.

“If Tyson is going to be the world champion we know he can be, he should come through this fight comfortably."
