WWE Raw: Sasha Banks to face Charlotte inside Hell in a Cell
First-ever Women's Hell in a Cell bout set for Sunday, October 30
Tuesday 11 October 2016 10:54, UK
Sasha Banks and Charlotte will make WWE history when they compete in the first-ever Women's Hell in a Cell Match on Sunday, October 30.
The Boss will defend the Raw Women's Championship against Charlotte live on Sky Sports Box Office at the red brand's latest pay-per-view.
Banks challenged Charlotte to the bout on Monday's Raw in Oakland, with the former Women's Champion quickly accepting and Raw General manager Mick Foley making the bout official.
Banks got the better of Charlotte later in the show, however, when she made The Nature Girl tap out to the Bank Statement in a mixed tag-team scrap also featuring Roman Reigns and Rusev.
Reigns floored Rusev with a crushing spear and he will hope to do the same when he defends his United States Title against the Bulgarian inside the Hell in a Cell structure.
Seth Rollins will look to prise the Universal Title from Kevin Owens in the third Hell in a Cell bout later this month - a match Chris Jericho missed the chance to become part of on Raw.
Six-time world champion Jericho would have been inserted into the clash had he beaten Rollins in singles action but lost via a roll-up, despite Owens clocking The Architect with a Superkick.
Jericho suffered further punishment post-match when he was blasted by a Pedigree from Rollins - having helped his friend, Owens, avoid being struck with the move seconds earlier.
Two further matches were added to the Hell in a Cell card - The New Day will defend the Tag Team Titles against Cesaro and Sheamus, and Brian Kendrick will challenge Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins.
Cesaro lost to The New Day's Kofi Kingston on Raw, while Perkins shrugged off being punched in the face by Kendrick backstage to defeat the debuting Ariya Daivari with a Kneebar.
Elsewhere, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson jumped Enzo Amore and Big Cass before they could square off with Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas - Cass nailed with a Magic Killer.
Axel and Dallas subsequently faced former NXT Champions Sami Zayn and Neville, a bout they lost after Axel was smashed with a Helluva Kick by Zayn and Neville's Red Arrow.
Bayley downed Cami Fields with a Bayley-to-Belly Suplex before she was attacked by Dana Brooke; R-Truth rolled-up Titus O'Neil; and Sin Cara and Lince Dorado beat Drew Gulak and Tony Nese.
Plus, Braun Strowman decimated The Splash Brothers, Steven and Clay, before demanding that Foley hand him some proper competition… or else!
