On-fire Newcastle ace Dwight Gayle is scoring at a quicker rate than Barcelona's Lionel Messi this season.
The striker, who is gearing up for the Magpies' 10 in 10 clash with Wigan in front of the Sky cameras on Wednesday, has scored 16 times in the Championship from just 1,282 minutes of game time. That works out as a goal every 80 minutes.
In comparison, La Liga top scorer Messi has netted 11 times in 934 minutes of action - meaning he converts every 85 minutes this season.
Rafa Benitez has expressed his delight at the form of his £10m summer signing, saying: "He is a great finisher, he has good movement and he can make the difference."
As well as Messi, Gayle's conversion rate also puts him ahead of Premier League top scorer Diego Costa (12 goals at one per 110mins) and Italy's leading marksmen Edin Dzeko and Mauro Icardi (12 goals at one per 112mins and 120mins, respectively).
However, the most devastating frontman across Europe's major leagues right now is Manchester United reject Radamel Falcao. The Monaco man has scored 10 goals in France's top flight from just 582 minutes on the field.
Fellow Ligue 1 forward Edison Cavani of Paris St-Germain has 16 goals at a rate of one every 72 minutes, while Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 15 times in the Bundesliga at a rate of one goal every 78 minutes.
Here's how Gayle compares to some of Europe's top attackers…
