Wales and Scarlets lock Jake Ball has expressed his disappointment after suffering a knee injury that is set to keep him on the sidelines for 10 weeks.

The 24-year-old damaged the medial ligament in his left leg during the Scarlets' 27-26 defeat to Ospreys in their Guinness PRO12 clash in Llanelli on Boxing Day.

Ball played the full 80 minutes at Parc y Scarlets but is now facing over two months out of action after undergoing medical tests.

"Absolutely gutted with injury thanks to everyone who sent messages. Be back bigger and stronger in the new year," he wrote on Twitter.
