The result was hardly a surprise given that no Welsh side has ever won at Welford Road and Ospreys never looked likely to end that remarkable record.
Both clubs fielded largely experimental sides made up of fringe and reserve-team players, but it was a veteran and England international Thomas Waldrom who rumbled over for Leicester's first try after 27 minutes.
Sam Harrison sniped his way over from close range on the hour mark and Harry Wells touched down in the midst of a maul 10 minutes from time.
Leicester were pushing for a bonus point and earned a five-metre lineout in the final minute, with Michael Noone spinning over from a perfectly-executed catch-and drive.
Owen Williams converted from the touchline to take his personal tally with the boot to 19 points.
Sam Williams scored a breakaway consolation try for the Ospreys late on and Sam Davies kicked three penalties and a conversion for the visitors.
