Castleford's Australian winger Justin Carney is keen to play for England when he qualifies next year.
The 27-year-old, known as the 'Tank on the Flank' for his blockbusting, destructive running style, is in his third season in Super League and will fulfil qualification on residential grounds in 2016.
"I have thought about this in passing because I've been asked the question before by family and yes I would (play for England)," Carney told tigersTV.
"Now to some people that sounds totally ridiculous but to me this is my home now and I feel really at home at Cas.
"It's a chance to play international footy which I've never done before and I'll take any chance to do that.
Carney has enjoyed a career renaissance since leaving Australia in 2013 and admits he was "pretty much down and out" before Castleford took a gamble on him.
"It was a new start for me, everything went up from there. Before then it was a pretty dark time. I had to leave home, I got out of my comfort zone and moved to the other side of the world," he said.
"It was a big relief in that first game not to have so much pressure on me. I kind of made a fresh start, everything kind of started again from there."
Carney signed a new five-year contract last year and admits he owes a lot to Castleford, and he was less than impressed to see him being linked with a move to Hull FC.
“I don’t know anything about that. I’m very happy here at Castleford,” Carney added.
“I signed a five-year deal with the club last year and I’m not going anywhere. All that sort of stuff is just rumours, and a load of rubbish.”
