Castleford have continued re-building for 2016 with the signing of Australian Jy Hitchcox from neighbours Featherstone.
The 26-year-old has signed a 12-month contract with Castleford, who also have an option to extend the deal beyond 2016.
And Tigers coach Daryl Powell believes the former Wests Tigers utility back will provide a boost to his squad.
Powell said: "I'm delighted to finalise our 2016 squad with the addition of a player who I feel will prosper in our environment.
"Jy will provide quality competition in our outside backs. He has real speed and his footwork will trouble defences of any level.
"He is a player who is hungry to prove himself in Super League and I am confident in his ability to do just that."
Hitchcox becomes Powell's fifth close-season signing following the arrival of Joel Monaghan, Ben Crooks, Greg Minikin and Ryan Hampshire.
"The chance to play Super League is a dream come true," said Hitchcox.
"I'm really impressed by what I've seen of the team and getting the chance to work under Daryl Powell is awesome."
