Stevie Ward joined Jon Wells at the touchscreen to analyse Leeds 24-22 victory over St Helens.
Leeds edged the thrilling encounter at Headingley to move up to second place in the table after leading the Saints 6-4 at the break, Joel Moon and Adam Swift trading scores before Jordan Lilley's penalty gave the hosts the slender advantage.
Ward handed Leeds the dream start to the second half when he went over for a try on 43 minutes only for Saints to swing the match back in their favour through Tommy Makinson and James Roby.
However, further scores from Leeds' Kallum Watkins and Ryan Hall made it 24-16, hosts able to hang on for the victory despite a late effort from Alex Walmsley.
Speaking of the win at the touchscreen with Jon Wells, Ward said: "Saints definitely come at us especially in that first half. They came in on the back of that win and through a lot at us.
"They broke the line quite a few times in the first half and I think we dealt with it quite well and stuck with defence.
"I think in offence we kept hold of the ball compared to last week and we put a bit of pressure of them."
