Bulls v Rovers: Teams

Bradford will look to start their Super League season at the second time of asking when they host Hull KR on Sunday.

The Bulls had been scheduled to kick off their campaign last Sunday with an away game against Harlequins RL at the Twickenham Stoop.

However, the weather denied them the chance of playing, meaning a delayed start for several of the club's new faces.

Steve Menzies, Nick Scruton, Rikki Sheriffe and Michael Worrincy are all likely to make their Bradford debuts at the Grattan Odsal Stadium.

Coach Steve McNamara has kept the same 19-man squad with prop Andy Lynch and winger Tame Tupou the only absentees, both through injury.

Meanwhile, the Bulls could see their move for stand-off Greg Bird collapse after his application for a visa was rejected by the British High Commission.

Cooke cleared

Hull KR are boosted by the availability of stand-off Paul Cooke, as they get 2009 underway with a tough away trip.

The former Hull FC player left the field during last Friday's friendly win over Salford amid fears he had suffered a broken wrist.

But an X-ray showed no break and Cooke was back in training on Tuesday getting ready for the curtain-raiser.

Daniel Fitzhenry is missing, though as the Australian has failed to recover from a groin injury in time to be considered by coach Justin Morgan.

The Robins will hand debuts to winger Liam Colbon and prop Nick Fozzard, though another new recruit, Scott Wheeldon, is sidelined.

Chev Walker, Clint Newton and Scott Murrell all return from long-term lay-offs for Rovers, who lost both away games at Bradford in 2008.
