        Verdict

        Frankel won this race twice and his unbeaten progeny WITHOUT PAROLE (NAP) has leading claims. John Gosden’s colt has taken each new challenge in his stride culminating in a Group 1 victory at Ascot with a defeat of the re-opposing Gustav Klimt in the St James’s Palace Stakes. He put that race to bed when surging clear a furlong from home and is taken to confirm running with the Ballydoyle colt, despite the latter closing at the finish. Well beaten at Newmarket in the 2000 Guineas, Expert Eye returned to form to land the Jersey Stakes over 7f at Ascot in fine style and is preferred to the likes of Lightning Spear, Beat The Bank and Lord Glitters, who are all closely matched on this season’s form. Andre Fabre has decided Orbaan is worth a tilt at the highest level having won a Listed contest at Saint-Cloud but So Beloved was due to run here yesterday.
