Henry Candy: Limato will stay in the Lockinge

Henry Candy believes Limato will stay a mile in the Al Shaqab Lockinge at Newbury on Saturday - but he is also "prepared to be proved wrong".
A top-class operator over six and seven furlongs, Candy is stepping him up in trip based on his final two efforts last season at Doncaster and Longchamp.
Slowly away at Doncaster, he flew through the field to win the Park Stakes going away, while he was even more detached in France before finishing with a flourish to take second spot in the Prix de la Foret.
"I believe he will (stay), I wouldn't do it otherwise, but I'm perfectly prepared to be proved wrong," Candy told At The Races.
"He's very fresh and well at the moment and has been doing all his work with Twilight Son (Sprint Cup winner).

"They're working as they were last year - neither are exuberant workers - and they don't seem to have changed at all.
"It wouldn't surprise me if the horse went back to being a sprinter. We'll just have to see how he behaves."
Limato has had five different jockeys in his nine races to date but that situation appears likely to have been solved, with Harry Bentley his chosen partner for the season.
