Joey Bosa needs to join Chargers training soon, says Osi Umenyiora

Former New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora wants to see rookie Joey Bosa at the San Diego Chargers' training camp before too long.
Bosa was selected third overall but is yet to sign a contract, citing the delay of his rookie signing bonus as a reason for the holdout.
He remains the only player from the 2016 NFL Draft yet to sign their rookie contract and Umenyiora, a two time Super Bowl winner, has urged both parties to come to an agreement.
"It's a tough scenario. The NFL is a business. You have to take care of yourself and his teammates will understand that," Umenyiora told Sky Sports.
"He's doing the right thing, standing up for himself. The Chargers organisation have had issues in the past with picks, and they need to get that in order."

However, Umenyiora stressed the importance of camp, particularly for a rookie, and believes that Bosa needs camp as much as the team need him.
"The player needs these valuable reps and information he's going to need to develop.
"But the team have invested a high draft pick and you expect him to be out on the field. If he's not, you're only hurting yourselves.'
The Chargers began their preseason on Saturday with a 27-10 defeat against Tennessee Titans.
