Colin Montgomerie signed off his final Royal Troon appearance in an Open Championship with a four-over 75 on Sunday.
The 53-year-old, who will be 65 by the time his home course is next on The Open roster, had to come through qualifying at Gailes Links to secure his spot in the field.
After making Open history on Thursday by hitting the first televised opening tee shot, Montgomerie made the cut on the mark with a four-over 75 in his second round.
The Scot was faced with another early start during his third-round 79, before going out with a marker as the first man out for Sunday's final round.
Montgomerie bounced back from three bogeys in his opening six holes to post a birdie-two at the Postage Stamp, before a blemish at the ninth saw him reach the turn in 39.
Three more dropped shots along the back nine continued Montgomerie's slide down the leaderboard, but didn't stop large crowds gathering to see the home favourite walk up the 18th fairway in a Royal Troon Open for one last time.
