An injury-time equaliser handed Yeovil a 2-2 draw and dented Bournemouth's promotion aspirations on Saturday afternoon.
The sixth-placed Cherries will be bitterly disappointed at throwing away a two-goal lead which would have strengthened their bid for a play-off place. All the scoring was done in the second half after Yeovil had lost skipper Paul Huntington in the 50th minute for a second bookable offence. Five minutes later Bournemouth's Adam Smith went down under a challenge from Nathan Smith and although referee Steve Tanner waved play on, his assistant flagged for a penalty which Tanner eventually gave and Danny Ings duly converted. Ings added another goal after 68 minutes when he swept in a Liam Feeney cross and Yeovil seemed down and out. But four minutes from time Tanner's opposite assistant flagged for a Yeovil penalty which Adam Virgo smashed into the roof of the net. And then in stoppage time midfielder Shaun MacDonald headed in a right-wing corner from Craig Alcock, leaving Yeovil still to taste defeat at home to Bournemouth.
