Southend will have midfielder Ryan Leonard available again following a three-game suspension for the visit of MK Dons.
Anthony Wordsworth and striker Nile Ranger both came back into the side after recovering from injury for the 4-0 win over Chesterfield, so will be looking to retain their place as the Shrimpers target a late play-off push.
Full-back Ben Coker (ankle) missed Saturday's match so will be assessed.
Centre-half Ryan Inniss has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign because of a dislocated shoulder, while goalkeeper Mark Oxley (elbow) and fellow stopper Ted Smith (wrist) continue their rehabilitation.
MK Dons boss Robbie Neilson has indicated that Dean Bowditch, Daniel Powell and Nicky Maynard will leave the club this summer.
The out-of-contract trio have been left out of Neilson's last two match day squads, with Callum Brittain and Giorgio Rasulo starting Good Friday's 1-0 defeat to Scunthorpe.
After that game, Neilson said: "These other guys have been great servants but we move on as a football club. Decisions have been made privately and we move on."
The Dons have no fresh injury concerns following Friday's loss.
