Emile Sinclair has vowed to score the goals to keep York in League Two after joining the club until June 2016.
The 27-year-old former Nottingham Forest, Macclesfield, Peterborough, Crawley and Northampton forward arrived at Bootham Crescent with the Minstermen a point above the drop zone. "I can't wait to get going and I'm looking forward to the challenge," Sinclair told his new club's official website. "I'm here to win and I'm here to score goals. "Hopefully I can help the club get back up the table and secure League Two football again. "We can push up the table and who knows where it will take us? "There's a lot of the season left, so you never know. Now I've joined, I just want to get going and score some goals." After swooping to boost his attacking options, manager Russ Wilcox was in an upbeat mood. He added: "I'm delighted. It's all happened very quickly and Emile only left Northampton on Monday. "We're delighted with the business we've done. "I'd like to thank the chairman for his backing and, hopefully, it's a player we've brought to the club who can get us some goals. "He brings pace, power and experience. He also brings competition to the group, and that's important."
