Manchester City youngster Ryan McGivern has joined Bristol City on loan after seeing a deal at Crystal Palace come to an end.
The defender has spent the last month at Selhurst Park, with his route to the first team firmly blocked at Eastlands.
The Eagles were keen to extend his stay, with Dougie Freedman impressed by the Northern Ireland U21 international.
They have, however, been left disappointed, as McGivern is set to try his luck elsewhere.
Recruits
Bristol City have swooped to land the full-back on a deal that will run until the end of the season.
Robins boss Keith Millen has made no secret of his desire to bring in defensive recruits and his efforts have been successful.
The deal will be rubber-stamped once a medical has been passed and Football League clearance has been obtained.
Palace, meanwhile, have allowed another loanee, Andrew Davies, to return to Stoke at the end of his month-long spell.
